Not too bad a race and quite enjoyable, in that it threw a few curves and therefore wasn't predictable. Plus there was a different winner for once, so that made a pleasant change.

I quite enjoyed it. Watched it live for a change and stayed awake for almost all of it. Great to see Max get a deserved victory. Haas did very well indeed. Disaster on almost every count for Mercedes after a huge strategic blunder that even I called when it happened.....

8. The first lap was magic, and while obviously that level of entertainment couldn't be sustained, there were surprises and jeopardy throughout.

7. Surprisingly good racing from all the participants and I guess it's a feature of the track that you can see them working the wheel.

Good to see Grosjean with a smile instead of a whinge.

Leclerc proving that Ferrari are right.

Felt sorry for Bottas but it could be that his start was the result of what later caused the retirement.

Thought Lewis handled the mistake quite well and fair play to the strategist who stuck his hand up. Ultimately reliability was the one thing that really spiced this race up and that is a throwback to the 80s/90s.

Brilliant race! Enjoyed it start to finish, really enjoyed it when the Mercedes cars failed. 9 out of 10!

Might have enjoyed it more if I didn't know the results, but 7.

Please go to more circuits like this one and not like the painted ones.

The biggest factor moving the score up from the last one (from 6 to 7) is the track's surroundings.

Honestly, it at least seemed like there were more overtakes throughout the French GP (at least as far as what was caught on camera) than in Austria.

I didn't care for the run-offs at Paul Ricard, but the way the striping was at least helped a little with the sense of depth, and also, having the plain asphalt in between muted the impact of the bright paint to some extent. (If next year's French GP is sunny, I'll have a better idea of the true impact.) In Austria, with a couple of the shots of the last corner, and that low, zoomed shot of Turn 1, the solid, bright paint was actually more disorienting and dominating in the picture. And then, of course, there was that projected star between Turns 7 and 8, as well as that other CGI thing that kept flashing up on the hill to the inside of the last corner. (Maybe the difference in the impression of these differing stimuli is a function of you guys having binocular vision.)

a healthy 8.

maybe not the most exciting in terms of on track action but i like the venue, like how the winning team and driver won, liked the mechanical failures, like how the title battle is still close including Ferrari currently topping the constructors table.
