Suspect Dave Newsham will substitute for Tordoff this weekend.

Sutton needs rain to win at Knockhill this year I think. But then, that's a likely scenario!

You'd imagine given the awful circumstances that AMD won't have to run his car, but if they do choose to... Bushell?

Its rotten for the Tordoffs and I do feel sorry for Sam, but I think AMD will still have to run 2 cars, they have almost a week to find a driver and have a driver with NGTC experience as a race engineer, I am pretty sure they can fill the seat.

I'd certainly like to see Jelley win legitimately at least, my feelings exactly about Tordoff.

Yep, Bushell travels with the team, knows the car and so already fits in.

Unless they have another ultra experienced driver with pedigree on hand to keep them pushing near the front ... could Rory convince Gordon Shedden to have a one off drive in a car he knows? , (I doubt Jackson who was visiting AMD recently has any budget at all)

Overall, I would be surprised to see any other name in the car when they have a ready made pilot sitting in the garage

Although we already know it will be Bushell, there was no way it was going to be Shedden. He'll be far too busy in China this weekend.

Developing his Audi knowledge before driving one for Dynamics in the BTCC?

well yes if you look at the time i posted, I posted before the annoucement and pretty much said in the same sentence it would be Bushell, I also implied it was Bushell 2 days ago!.
clearly by the winking emoji it was a off hand comment to spark a thought and maybe conversation, (considering on the other thread someone claimed Shedden was desperate to get back to BTCC.) But i am so so sorry for not just posting "Bushell!".

I give up with the petty pinking things out of context for point scoring on this forum all the time, im done!

The point was, that even before Bushell had been rumoured, Shedden already had a long standing prior commitment.

Glad to see young Mike have an opportunity to drive, hopefully he'll have a good run out. Great pity about the circumstances it's arisen in.

Depends. If it's wet for race 1, then it's very likely.
