Gold Coast Weather
The Forcast for this weekends race is now storms for both Saturday and Sunday. Lets hope it's not as bad as last years event. The storms usually come in the late afternoon however this is not always the case. You should check the below link on the day of the event to check the Radar on the weather

There was a strong line of storms that came through after the racing last night and the same is expected this afternoon or early evening. Today is as good as it gets beautiful clear blue skies it's usually like this after a storm.

Only a few clouds on the horizon the Gold Coast could not look any better than it does now. It always is better in the morning than the afternoon.

What a storm!! So much rain, lightning, wind... we got satched and it was a 5m run to the pub from the taxi, that had trouble staying on the road...

The good news is that the storms have past & it is now a beautiful night & hopefully means we've seen the last of the rain for the weekend.

Yeah, it fairly bucketed down again last night, and this morning there are still a few big clouds around that will hopefully burn away when the sun comes out...

Hanging around in the pits at Surfers, I wonder if Dario is just "talking about the weather"?

The track has just opened and it's still cloudy and stong winds are forcast. This should blow the clouds away. All of the action will be on the balcony's this afternoon it would be nice if it was still cloudy because the glare can affect your eyes, however the view is spectacular.

There is now blue sky,Clouds and strong winds but the outlook is not so good according to this report from Fox Sports
SHOWERS and thunderstorms are forecast on the Gold Coast this afternoon threatening a wet finale to the Indy 300 motor racing. Championship leader Canadian Paul Tracy can win his first ever Champ Car World Series title with a top-two finish. Frenchman Sebastian Bourdais is on pole alongside Brazilian teammate Bruno Junqueira - the only other driver in the title chase. Tracy is third on the grid and will be attempting to win his eighth race of the season. The weather bureau forecasts gusty winds and a high of 30 degrees for the tourist strip. Showers and thunderstorms are possible in the late stages of the race which begins at 2.35pm (AEST). Last year eight cars were destroyed in a wet weather pile up in the opening moments of the Indy 300 |

We've just got to hope that the storms hit tonight as late as they did last night so the race can be completed uninterrupted.

its now 2pm and the race isnt far away and there are dark clouds brewing to the south of the circuit , lets hope its stays away or if it does arrive its only a shower.
but from the pictures on TV its not looking that promising. |

Yeah, it's been spitting on and off around the track for a little while now. There is one big cloud, it will probably burst shortly, at least it doesn't look like set in stuff like last year...
