David vs Kimi
How will DC cope with the speed of Kimi. I can see Kimi being the new love interest for Ron Dennis so again DC will have to cope with not being the preferred driver. Would Kimi have been better going to Ferrari and spending a couple of years under MS instead of an under achieving DC. Anybody is a better driver than Rubens and Ferrari need to groom a driver to take over from MS when he finally decides to retire (Now that will be a sad day for the sport).

I think Kimi has done the right thing by going to Mclaren. It would have been a waste of talent to have him play secound fiddle to TGF at Ferrari. At Mclaren he will get equal treatment. And I can easily see him outperforming DC.

DC, I would start packing your bags now, because Kimi will be staying, and little Nicky will be taking your place at the end of next year.

Kimi should be able to beat DC once in a while but DC will beat him consistently.
Some people just hate DC to the point of not recognizing what is obvious. He has been a frequent Schumacher beater. His only problem was his inability to put together a consistent performance. Now that Hakkinen is not there he should have one big problem off his shoulders. There is something about Kimi that puts a big question mark. His attitude at Austria opening the doors so easily for Schumacher being one among many. He just does not have the spirit to fight whoever is behind him. Probably he needs a piece of advice from Bernoldi….LOL |

Initially I can see DC comprehensivley beating Kimi. Kimi's not good enough. Yet. He doesn't have the experiance. Yet.
I CAN see DC going to Jag at the end of this year and being replaced by Nick (assuming another strong year at Sauber). By then they should be quite a couple. BTW, where does Mika come into all this??? |

"Next Year" was something Schumacher had been saying since 96 until it finally happen in 2000. Why would it not happen for DC?
When they say "Next Year" they are saying they hope it will be next year. You can only say that if you have the confidence you will drive the best car. If everything comes together then it happens. look back to 2000. |

Come on!! The only thing DC is experienced at is being second best in the fastest car.
Kimi R has the true youth, the hunger, the focus and the pace to make mincemeat of DC.

No predictions but maybe the threat of another teammate pushing him out of the limelight will inspire DC to even greater heights. I sure hope so, he's running out of time.

As for Mika, he's done the right thing in my opinion. Next year, Mclaren could well be going for 3rd place behind Williams and Ferrari, so why hang around? Mclaren could catch up by 2003 and then he can go for the WDC.
Kimi's good, but then so was Bunsen. They both need more experience, and for the short term I'd have expected Nick Heidfeld who has beated Kimi in both qualifying and on race points so far. |
