TheCAB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Dallara F301 Ride Height 40mm

Hi, can someone please assist me by detailing the alterations required to an F301 Dallara in order to meet the minimum ride height of 40mm for Mono regs while at the same time hopefully minimising the performance loss.

I have searched, however, information on this subject seems to be hard for me to find.

Longer turnbuckles on the pushrods are a good idea, and you may need to lower the rear wing to comply with height regulations.

But that's about it, other than figuring out setups.

Wind out the pushrods and lower the wing, as above.

Performance will be lost though as the majority of the downforce comes from under the car, the wings are for tuning.

Within Mono rules you are then free to experiment with other aerodynamic devices. The centre of the tub can be 40mm off the ground, but either side of the central plank is now higher than 40mm. You can also lower the front wing a bit as well.

On average a F3 car in full F3 trim with a good 'club' driver is 1.86 seconds per mile faster than a car in Mono F3 trim (ie at 40mm ride height, and with a Mono spec engine - I don't think any of the Mono F3 lap records are set using a F3 spec engine which would be running a 1mm smaller restrictor).
