SUPERSERIES and CHAMPION OF BRANDS
As published before Christmas in the magazines and other social network sites, the provisional calendar for the National SuperSeries for FF1600 and the Champion of Brands is now in circulation - and registrations for drivers open.
Further details of prizes on offer will be released during the next few days and coming weeks, but 'The Cunningham Cup' (carrying the name of FF1600 legend Neil Cunningham) will be presented to the 'Driver of the Year' in the SuperSeries. The Cunningham Cup in 2012 was won by Joey Foster for SuperSeries victories at Brands Hatch and Mallory Park. A great National calendar has been assembled and the SuperSeries now offers FF1600 racers a very valid national series with plenty of great racing opportunity at many popular tracks. The Champion of Brands will also continue to offer great FF1600 action at the 'Home of Formula Ford'. The SuperSeries and CoB will be administered by JBM with the help and support of MSVR - although many clubs and officials have aided the preparation of this list of dates. Provisional Calendar: April 6 - Kirkistown May 12 - Rockingham June 1or2 - Brands Hatch Indy (also Champion of Brands) June 23 - Mallory Park (Champion of Mallory race) July - TBA July 27or28 - Brands Hatch GP (also Champion of Brands) August 10or11 - Brands Hatch GP (also Champion of Brands) August 18 - Thruxton August 24or25 - Brands Hatch GP (also Champion of Brands) September - TBA September 28 - Kirkistown (Martin Donnelly Trophy) October 5 - Castle Combe (Castle Combe Carnival) A class structure will be run in these races (as per the WHT and the 2012 FFF) Class A: Pre 72; Class B: Pre 82; Class C: Pre 90; Class D: Post 89 Full details are available from: James Beckett BeckettJE@aol.com or via a F'bk page at James Beckett Motorsport |

Brilliant James ,as usual i will push to put cars on your grids . Great to see you have pre 82 and pre 90 classes this will help with the Classic Formula Ford drivers deciding to do these races . The separate race you had at the WHT was a great success and you should have a full grid again this year . If you could do the same at the Formula Ford Festival as well ,there might be more than 50 cars do this once great meeting I know your hands are tied on this but try .We already have Pre 90 and Pre 82 races at the Combe Carnival
Kent engine formula ford is on the way back dont miss the boat buy now before the last of the good ones are gone . Peter |

Agree completely, having done several CoB races in a 1970 FF, I have always had a good battle with cars 20-30 years younger - and what other series gets you on the iconic GP loop 3 times in one summer.

Three times on the GP loop in one season - that is exactly what the CoB does
