Snotty should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A month earlier. Interesting, wonder if they consulted Silverstone. Anyone know what it will clash with this year? I expect we will all be there again?

Best of the 2006 dates is the European GP @ the Ring being in early May, which means the 24 Hour Race on the Nordschleife will be later & therefore in better weathr than this year

This should maybe go in the "marshalling room 101" thread.....

Don't you just hate it when you see an * (I can't spell asterisk) or other footnote mark and can't find the note it refers to?

re: Bodysnatcher & Greenbean posts. It's going to be either a quick shower and a fast drive to Portsmouth for the overnight ferry or bypass Northamptonshire altogether (which would be a pity).

I would guess the week after, but who knows? I'll pop over to the Goodwood site later and see if there is anything there.

Me was thinking a 24 hour turnaround at the maison de ferme and get the other half to drop me off at Charles de Gaulle aeroport for the Tuesday Montreal flight.

hey - I did it the other way round for a couple of years - Monday out of Montreal for Tuesday at Heathrow for Wednesday on Le shuttle. That was hectic (but a hellova lotta fun)

I guess Autosport wished they had not published dates now. The dates they quote are totally different and I wonder if they had version 5+ whereas we may now be on to version 10+ They made it even worse by stating "The British GP appears secure with a July 16 date".

It just shows how quickly things change in the world of F1, one day it is one thing the next day it all changes. In fact Ceefax changed between yesterday afternoon and evening!!

Certainly Silverstone's website shows 11th June 2006 as the provisional date.

Bgp

Where do the GP Calendar Committee live. After the French the most populous crowd at Le Mans are the Brits. So what do they do, they clash it with the BGP. Canada OK, not too many Canadian visitors to Le Mans (apologies if you do) but BGP. Beggars belief.

May well clash with the Ring 24Hours which a lot of British Marshals (myself included do). Still no competition is there?

I'd sit tight if I were you and wait for the inevitable changes and I still believe that the car Grand Prix will be either the 9th or 16th July next year.
