Emfa should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Was Loudon what you expected?

Unfortunately I missed the broadcast, so I was wondering what people's impressions of the race were. There were some opinions expressed before the race - did it end up being what you expected?

It seems that some of the driver's comments weren't very complimentary - are there likely to be any changes for the track?

I really hate this track but I will have to be perfectly honest, this turned out to be a pretty decent race. Yes, the late caution helped but I think Jarrett was closing in on Rudd and I think there would have been an exciting battle for the lead on the last few laps anyway. I really liked the fact that the track owners upgraded the racing surface by putting that sealer put down on the track like they do all the time at Richmond. This seemed to give it more grip and it also makes it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well. Overall, no complaints here and we had a safe weekend there to boot. Lets hope the trends continue...

I was disappointed. Being a Gordon fan, I was happy as he led so much of the race early-on. But then it became evident that the only way to get the lead was in the pits. The lack of passing, particularly for the lead, was a disappointment to me. I was not impressed with the track. I missed the end of the race, when there was finally some excitement.

Well, except for the last few races, it was pretty much what I thought it would be, and what I have come to expect from this track. Too flat, one groove, definatly not good for passing, or good racing. As several of the drivers said, this track is not suitable for Winston Cup racing, it needs more banking!

Preacher, it's great to see you here. Welcome aboard. Folks, here is a good man, a good friend, and a very knowlegable racing fan. He will be a very positive addition to our forum!
