Ok, I have a problem with B*A*R
This is starting to get a little annoying to me. They seem to be hell bent on ostracizing JV. He may not be the "team player" that they may have hoped for but it seems to be a bit distracting. Jenson is being hailed and adored while it seems Jacques is being separated. Maybe its just me.
I just hope this "player hating" does not become a distraction in what is their most important year in F1. |

I know you are a Honda fan, and that this does not help your case any, but... the simple fact is that Jacque$ brought this all on himself. Maybe if he comes up with some good results early in the season, they will learn to like him

Maybe!! I also read that JV just left the stage after the presentation while the other drivers stayed and chatted with the press.
Its bad enough that the car looks like the Williams (but better) now the drivers behave like them too. I don't see why its so difficult. JV says things like he (JB) needs to earn my respect. He is not welcoming. However the rest of the team have already adopted Button. As long as they are fast I guess I will not care too much. However, IMO it would be much better if everyone got along. |

Might that be the first use of the term 'player hating' on an F1 Forum neilap??
Did Jacques really just leave the stage before the others? I like JV, really respect his driving talents, and he HAS done some good things in the slow BARs of years past, but he always manages to make people hate him with antics like that... |

"At least this one looks like a proper Formula One car, so that's encouraging," Villeneuve said. "I think we should be able to fight against everyone excpet Ferrari if the data we've seen turns out to be true."
http://www.f1racing.net/news.php?ID=53283 I don't like this kind of attitude... |

BODY LANGUAGE
The body language between the two men at the launch provided an early indication of the state of their relations, with Button clearly the main focus as he drove the new car onto the stage and dominated a video presentation. When they left the stage, Villeneuve walked away while Button stayed and chatted with test drivers Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson. Sorry, I said "other drivers stayed and chatted with the press. "... it should have been wit the other drivers. The article is here - http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/030114/80/div23.html Being competitive is one thing. However animosity is never good. In some ways I can understand how JV feels. When Pollock was there he always had his way. Now Button is the baby boy. "Might that be the first use of the term 'player hating' on an F1 Forum neilap?? " I do my best to add a little urban flavor. |

Mr V is being put down big time by his team principle especially and his team maybe a little too.I can't say he doesn't deserve it,but it's not a pretty thing for dave richards to be doing publicaly.Of course Vileneuve is just acting as one would if they don't like being treated like that. It's all incredibly childish behaviour
JV's point of view-'I'm sticking to my contract no matter how stupid my paypacket looks in the current f1' DR's-'Ok,i'm in a sickening position of having a driver that was contracted for WAY too much by someone else.I'll just try to insult him out' |

Look, Jacques is not a team man, and BAR will just have to live with it this year. I think DR has already promised that Bunsen will be their long term guy. Apart from anything else, this will give some backing to Bunsen who has to deal with Jacques who, I perceive, is a prima donna. On the other hand, it is not unusual for Sato, Bunsen and Ant to stay and chat because they know each other from competing against each other and are probably "friends". However, you'll have to check this out with Jellybabe on this because she knows them very well, while I am only voicing an opinion.
However, it is of little cncern to me how Jaacques behaves, I'm used to it by now. I just hope he performs with the new car, because it is supposed to be the Ant's pants. (sorry for the pun) |

The good thing about Jacques is that he speaks his mind which is a rarity for F1.
The bad thing is that what he has to sat is too often complete drivel. The other good thing about him is the way that he can drive. The other bad thing is that he doesn't always drive like that |

JV making comments like "it looks like a proper F1 car finally" and immediately hitting out against his teammate are putting him in hot water, no one has a vendetta against him

I think that after the events of the last several months, it is not surprising how the new car roll out went. It is no secret how Jacques feels about DR...but at least he's optimistic about the early numbers for the car, and I firmly believe that if the car is that good, Jacques will outdrive Jenson. I really hope the car is a good one.
