2010 AMA Supercross
Few days ago I watched round 1 of the 2010 AMA SX series. Great battle between Stewart and Dungey. Will definitive watch more SX this season.
I don't know much about motocross but was surprised to see no KTM's. The Austrian manufacturer isn't popular in the USA? |

KTM do race over there - British rider Tommy Searle came 7th in the 250cc class... They used to run a factory effort in the 450cc class aswell, dont know about that this year though or maybe they will be in Moto X...
Hope Chad Reed has better luck at Phoenix than he did at Anaheim I... |

Chad Reed only lasted 5 laps at Phoenix before crashing into James Stewart - Suzuki's Ryan Dungey got his 1st career 450cc Supercross race win...

Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Looks like Stewart got baulked by riders in front and Reed came in pretty hot.

Round 4 San Fransisco
Broken hand for Stewart so didn't start in this round Villopoto wins. Nice battle between Villopoto and Hill. What was Dungey doing? Freestyle X-Games motocross? |

AMA site didnt even report that Stewart had a broken hand - WTF? You'd think that if the #1 rider had a broken hand & wasnt riding it would be newsworthy
Be good to see a new champion crowned in 2010 |

It was a pretty decent race, I thought. Twists and turns, and all that.
The title will end up between Dungey and Villopoto, I imagine. That isn't to say I'm saying Hill ain't in the hunt, but I just reckon that is how it will end up (gut feeling thing). Hopefully the new champion will manage to get some increased support and funding, and all that, as a result of their success. It'd be nice to go into a season without it being only Reed and Stewart in the game (with the exception of injuries). |

I think your right... If Stewart & Reed where there i believe Dungey (very impressive early on) & Villopoto (showed class in 09 before injury) would be mixing it with them - though Stewart is still the man when fully fit!
Jake Weimer is the class of the "western" lites field it seems... |

Villopoto and Dungey at the head of the field whilst Hill has a mediocre run to 9th. Villopoto put in a great performance, thus showing he has the mental toughness to handle problems (bust radiator in his heat, thus has to go through LCQ, which meant a rubbish starting slot).
The East Lites were very good races, too, I thought: both heats, LCQ, and the main in particular, were all good races. Barcia lived up to his hyping, I thought: we just might have a respectable challenger to Stewart in a couple of seasons or so. I don't suppose Stewart and Reed are going to rush back. There is nothing to gain from it. They'll come back only when they are properly healed, presumably. |

I have asked many times, in various forums of the fora extravaganza which is ten-tenths, how to make these lovely pro-looking tables.
I have yet to get an explanation as to how to achieve such aims. As such, I provide this link (the unnecessarily complex nature of finding impiles the niche nature of the sport): What I Believe To Be The Officially Sanctioned Sourced Results. ***** As for Reed/Stewart fitness, IIRC, in the booth, Stewart said somewhere around Dallas (implying Dallas was the target). |
