DMN Brands Hatch Weekend/Brands 12th Aug merged

I know we haven't even got lydden out of the way yet, but lydden weekend is the closing date for Brands.

This is VERY NEARLY FULL so if you are intending on entering you should have sent your forms off like yesterday.

Engine is done and ready to be put in, BUT they ( the engine builders) want £1400.00 for the privilege of giving it back to me!!!

I'm not doing this one, got an event every weekend until mid september now, think it might be tempting fate!

(plus saving up for baby clothes etc)

Ahh the old engine builders ploy, I take it there was no written agreement etc. maybe a call to the citizen advice they may shed light on it. Just let them know they will never have any work from our series and can expect every one to know what a bunch of villians they are. Motorsport News may give them bad press as well, or the old fashion way

It rather looks like the crank webbing has ground out some nice concentric circles in the main caps!

Did they forget to put the thrust washers in or something? That's quite some endfloat...

Slightly OT.

At £275 for Brands entry in October, is this the most expensive entry for DMN ever?

That's not bad for a double header at Brands.

Was looking to drag the BX out of retirement for the Oct Brands (subject to it not being sold) meeting. So no DMN at Brands that weekend but Lydden is the place to be.

Wonder what will replace DMN.As if anything could.

Unfortunately can't make it this weekend, new fence panels due Friday. Guess what I'm doing Sat/Sun. Plus need to save Xsara for Donington next week.

Chezza, entry form for Brands is from BARC, sent to us for Sport Maxx Cup. It is listed on BARC "timetables" on their site.

Oooh so it is. I am sure we've told them since the time-table was produced on 16 Jan that we're not attending...

Perhaps they could give us (Sport Maxx) some more track time! They'll probably raise our entry fee more likely.

Nope, bushes. Potential fence panels of the future if they grow well. lol

Just had a look at Rod's site and it does list Brands (if not too expensive); obviously was; hence the move to Lydden.
