TC2000 now in english!!
I stumbled onto this. So now overseas fans can follow it too!
http://www.tc2000.com.ar/noticias_ingles.php I know they're more like DTM/Nascar than touring cars, but would these cars attract more NA and other fans. More macho looking than S2000 cars? |

Are the TC2000 cars tubeframers or unibody-cars?
South America seems to have a number of great series going at the moment: Top Race V6, Stockcar Brazil, TC2000... |

I really like the balancing system they use in TC2000. No penalty weights but instead move the top 6 drivers 2-12 positions back from where they qualify (as far as I've managed to gather). Creates interesting races with a lot of overtaking and battles between the top 5-10 drivers. More TCCs should look into that system IMO.

Jap, TC2000 is a nice Series. I watched some races in the last two years, but sadly there is no Livestreaming... Live on Tape is better than nothing but not the same...

Some of the south american series produce the best racing. The Stockcar Brazil, Turismo Carretera and TC2000 are all great racing series. Sure they might not look as good as some of the series over here, but they do know how to produce good racing.

These are some of the best looking touring cars of the world. They have great drivers, beautiful circuits, and I enjoy them live in cable television! They had six brands this year (Honda, Toyota, Ford, Renault, Chevrolet and Fiat) plus private Volkswagens and Peugeots. Citroën, Peugeot and even Audi may race in 2010 as well.
Sadly, they started using spec engines this season to save money. Now they all sound the same, and aren't true touring cars. I'm sure that the website has been available in English for months. |

META4, the race was actually held on the Circuito Potrero de los Funes, which is in the San Luis province. However, Autodromo San Luis is a VERY different track that is rather flat in topography and more than a mile shorter to the lap than Potrero.
And to confuse things just a bit more, there is also an Autodromo San Juan, a.k.a. El Zonda. |
