Didn't the Bunbary owners say they weren't looking to V8s?
Lose Adelaide, Shanghai, Spa and the Gold Coast and the calendar would look pretty good |

I'm not saying it's not a good event, but it is still a street race, which benefits no one bar V8Supercars.

i didnt know it had to
and dosnt benifit the spectators who go, the adelaide community, who receive thousands of tourists, the guys in the lower ranks who competes in front of big crowds, the corporations who promote there brands to there customers. to channel 10 who use this to prop up other less watched races |

As much as AVESCO and their yes-men want to pump it all up, the series is an Australian Championship. I'd rather run two rounds on local tracks rather than go galavanting to other parts of the world where no one over there will give a stuff (bar the enthusiasts, which apparently don't mean much these days we keep being told)
As for the Gold Coast, i'd be prepared to let that one slide because it is run in conjunction with a major overseas series (hence why i didn't list Albert Park), but our permanent circuits should be given a guernsey before any street race is given a thought. |

Why are they idiotic ? Are you saying that my proposed calender can't happen ? As has been stated so many times here, Avesco is a business that aims to make profit, if other promoters or tracks or cities offer enough coin, it wont take Avesco too long to follow them. |

the oval would be great, ilots of drafting, would really test the drivers and the cars
but is suspect we would need to use the F1 circuit because im not sure the cars would handle the high continious speeds |

I don't know how things are set up over there, but could you have a race on the oval on the Saturday and one on the F1 circuit on the Sunday?
