Moped Mayhem
Anyone know if this still goes on?? I remember seeing about it years ago - Id love to see a race if they still happen. I remember seeing a website about they were doing enduro races once but thats the last thing I recall.

Yes they still race them,we run similiar classes in NZ,recently ran a 1 hour.(came second) anyone who would ask why obviously hasn't ever raced one, great fun, very competetive and best of all very cheap. |

You're correct,I've never raced them(never even sat on one!)It must be more of a participant thing rather that a spectator one!Sorry, but I do really enjoy Superbikes.

Ghinzani,if you have the chance do it,we have current and past national 125GP,F3,sidecar and 600 production champions who race or have raced in our equivalent class over here.
In the late eighties when they ran World Superbikes in NZ they raced buckets through the Feilding town centre the night before much to the amazement of the World Superbike riders who hadn't ever seen anything like it. |

hmm well the old bike will take a bit of work - seeing as the last time I used it was when I stepped off it prior to it crashing over the bridge over my parents stream on the farm in 1988... but I guess a total rebuild should be in order!! looks like it could be low-speed madness, Im certainly up for a go.
