I had my misgivings before the GP weekend about the Vegas race and then there was the fiasco with FP1 and FP2. However despite that it turned out to be better than I expected, with enough incident not to ruin it. 7

Gave the race an 8 - it was pretty damn good (surprisingly). Spider Pig layout delivered!

Since I only watch the formation lap and switch off/over at the checkered flag, I enjoyed the race. Too many helicopter shots when decent action was happening and close ups of celebs but for the race I gave a 6.

I'll give it an 8. Highlights as always for me and I was entertained... Decent amount of battling for position even if ultimately we knew what the end result was bound to be.

9 based on Chanel 4 highlights only. I really groaned when Las Vegas was mooted - I remembered the 1980s car park junk, but was really delighted with this track. Although a Max and Checo fan I would really have liked to see Leclerc win. Lots of place changes to keep us happy.

The race itself was better than I expected but
* in the end it's the same winner again * too much show, if only they would have put 20% of their efforts into the race * too many celebs. Nice if they show interest in the race and want to watch it. But I don't want to watch THEM. * Friday ... * the Sainz penalty * the Rolls Royce/fountain thing. Why? |

8 - One of the better races of the year. 3 possible winners. Some good action throughout the field including at the front for a change.

8 from me, too. I did end up falling asleep with 5 laps to go, but that was nothing to do with the race and everything to do with me being horizontal on the sofa!

9 for the race.
-1 for all the hype and slebs (mostly overpaid narcissists who earn their living pretending to be someone else). -1 for the drain cover incident (couldn't they learn from previous similar incidents?) So the makes 7. |

yeah i really dont know how to rate this.
will not rehash all their weekend issues, but as far as an organized event goes, i was just happy no one got hurt and thats a strange place to be in. track was not rubbered in and dirty, tires not meant for the cold slick surface, and the only reason it looked kind of close was because of SCs and a lack of preparation by the teams to get their cars dialed in. is that really enjoyable racing? 4 for me. |
