EC Penalties

Here is a LINK to the penalty summary from the Creek.

Anyone know the full story with this little doosie
Quote:
The Team Managers of Holden Racing Team and Kmart Racing were found to be in breach of the Rules in that they failed to maintain full control of the pit stop in their role as Car Controller during an incident involving cars #51, Greg Murphy, #18, Warren Luff, and #2, Mark Skaife, in pit lane during Practice Session 2. The Stewards imposed a penalty of $3,000 on Holden Racing Team and $3,000 on Kmart Racing.
??????

Also speedy was done for pit lane speeding three times in the one session, I was a little surprised that the fine didnt increase with each case?

not to hard to be caught for speeding if you don't recalibrate your limiter as the rolling diameter of a wet tyre is more than a slick, thus giving a reading less than what u are really doing

Indeed, Webber got one in Sepang as well.

I would'nt have thought it was that hard to avoid, but with the frequency it happens, I guess it is.

The team should get a kick for either not calibrating it properly, or warning a driver on wets about the potential problem.

The driver on the other hand is the only one responsible if he fails to pull up before the white line (and radar zone).

The HRt/Kmart thing was a result of a collision in pitlane between Murph and Skaife. I seen it. Murphy backed out of his pit garage, Skaife was about to leave pits, and drove through the Kmart pitbox, just as Murph had selected gear, resulting in a minor touch. Hard to say who was at fault, could make a case for either side.

bloggs,
Luffy was behind the perpendicularly parked Murphy. He waited for either/both to move. He had to really, there was nowhere else to go.
