Craner-Curve should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Most Grotesk GT/Sportscar creation ever

What car is the most grotesk, hideous creation ever to fill a GT or Sportscar grid.

This maserati, which usually is a pretty car is damn ugly now.

That Mazda that Weaver drove at Le Mans in the early eighties was very much a rolling turd.

i like the Maserati. the Trofeo version (the one finalised for the series) is quite nice-
now some of the Daytona prototypes aer turds- need we look further into history?
some transam cars were hideous most mustangs of the pre 2002 era were gross fat and sloppy looking- the new one is much better

Some of the early Group C cars were pretty damn ugly. The Lolas were pretty ugly.

The original Aston Martin Nimrod(?) Group C car from 82/83 was also an ugly contraption.

Courage Group C cars. Stubby front and a long tail. Very ugly. The LMP900 version was just as bad.

How about the MIG GT car?

Maserati? I thought it was a riced-out Honda Civic like I see so many of here in the Bay Area...

Weird. That's clearly an early-90s vintage Indycar on the left of the photo. Maybe it's an F5000 car converted for Can-Am?

That is the old Interseries at Most. It has thrown up more than its fair share of fuglies in the 90's. The car there is a Lola T89/50 and the one exiting left is a Penske PC18.

All information courtesy of Racing Sportscars.

Here is a gem! lancia Stratos anyone? http://racingsportscars.t35.com:8000...-09-26-068.jpg

Anyone remember Jose Thibault's Chevron-ROC C2 at Le Mans in 1986/7 or thereabouts? A Chevron B36 chassis with bodywork that had previously seen service on the Sthemo or Isolia C2 cars, complete with all 4 wheels fully faired-in

Horrible..... (there must be a pic on the web somewhere...)

Guys....

Nothing is as Ugly as some of the madcap creations back from the original Can-Am days in the late 1960s and early 1970s...

Surf the web for pics of the original UOP Shadow to get a taste or what Ugly or Grotesque really mean when it comes to sportscars....

I'm still searching out a picture of the ugliest racecar ever (any type of major series) that date back to 1963 0r 1964...

Smokey Ynunnick build a car for the Indy 500 that literally look ed like a motorcycle side car mounted to a flat frame with a big engine sitting right next to the driver...Butt Ugly...

But I cannot find a pic of it anywhere (and it would probably be copyrighted anyway...

I have found basic mentions of it when I have searched with paramenters like

Yunnick

Side Car

Indy 500

used in the same advanced search but putting the terms into different requested search fields separately...

Look at the Can-Am prototypes though...some were just awful...

How about the Chevron based thing that ran in Can-am or IMSA in the early 80s? It had a bubble top but no doors as far as I could see.

The dutch winter endurance championship I'm one of the three witnesses who saw it made an ugly spin somewhere at Zolder on a very cold sunday.

The car in basic shape is not bad, but those skirts! Can the designer of that be sent to jail?
