Yep, a very impressive drive and entirely on merit. OK, Alonso retired, but he ran no lower than fourth all day.
Can't say I've seen a BMW do that all year. Driver of the day for me. |

Not to take anything away from Michael or Kimi, but that was an absolute great drive by Kubica. Atta' boy Bob. Some real "cajones" at the start. Great stuff.

Well done Rob mate. Only his third race and he's on the podium... Good backing up from their previous good results, let's hope they can improve more.

Great drive, the most impressive.
I think based on this 3 races alone, he has justified the faith shown in him by BMW and that he deserved that seat. I'm most impressed with how he copes with pressure, especially when racing amongst the likes of Kimi, Massa and Alonso. Good stuff. Looking for more from him! |

Great drive by Robert, probably Drive of the Day in my mind. Fast and controlled throughout, and safely got through the debris from Alonso's engine when Massa failed. Realistically you have to say that the previous BMW employee could not have done this.

Amazing drive from an amazing driver. Can't wait to see more of this guy in the future, he looks equally as quick as alonso/raikkonen/massa.

Great result for Robert Kubica and BMW. I agree the engine looks to have plenty of power and it didn't blow up. Although, I guess he will run it in China too. Dumb rule but so be it.

The surprise of the season imo. This was just his 3rd race. He got 2 points in the first race, although they were taken off him because of the weight of the car and in his 3rd race he gets a podium in a race where almost all big ones finished the race, and survives pressure form Massa for a big chunk of the race.
He is one of the pillars of F1 in the future. |

Great for a new country to add its name to the list of point- and podium-scorers as well. I can imagine some pretty big parties in Polish community centres all around the world.

Kubica no doubt drove a very good race, and this will mark him as a coming man, but I've got no doubts Jacques could have done the same, as I smell some people already taking the chance to say otherwise.
The BMW here was a top five car, something it has hardly been all season. |

This guy is just my type of driver; not only is he talented but his attitude towards racing.....a real "racer", even if he uses the run off areas a bit too often. He'll certainly give a lot to talk about in the coming years but, perhaps, and much like others before him, his attitude might keep him from being champion. No matter though, after all, I don't find statistics to be terribly exciting.
