Congrats to the 2009 Champions and Title Winners
Under the cover of wanting to expand my knowledge, but also because I believe recogntinion is deserved like to start a thread to congratulate all the series winners of 2009 and to wish them and all their pursuers the very best for their season 2010 efforts.
Plus it should also be a almost purely positive post. Something to help counterbalance the off-season when we (definately include me) tend to turn on each other rather than say Yay! to racing. Please add any I've missed - and the state champions too, I'll add the Queensland Champions in a bit, but the other states I don't know. So... Jamie Whincup (V8 Supercar Championship Series, Adelaide 500) Garth Tander (Bathurst 1000, Phillip Island 500) Will Davison (Bathurst 1000, Phillip Island 500, Barry Sheene Medal) Jonathon Webb (Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series) Adam Wallis (V8 Touring Car National Series) James Moffat (Mike Kable Young Gun Award) John Bowe (V8 Supercar Hall of Fame inductee) Joey Foster (Australian Drivers' Champion) Tom Tweedie (Formula 3 National A) Peter Kalpakiotis (Formula 3 National B) Mitchell Evans (Formula 3 Super Prix) David Wall (Australian GT Champion) Jordan Ormsby (GT Challenge) Tim Poulton (GT Production) Jack Elsegood (V8 Utes) Nick Percat (Formula Ford) Gavin Bullas (Touring Car Masters) Trevor Talbot (Touring Car Masters: Group 2) Matt Kingsley (Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge) Simon and Sue Evans (Australian Rallying, Rally of Queensland) Garry Holt (Australian Manufacturers Championship Production Cars Outright & Class A2) Rod Salmon (Australian Manufacturers Championship Class A1 & Bathurst 12 Hour) Jake Camilleri (Australian Manufacturers Championship Class B) Stuart Jones (Australian Manufacturers Championship Class C) Tony Longhurst (Bathurst 12 Hour) Damien White (Bathurst 12 Hour) Des Wall (Sports Sedans) Shawn Jamieson (Saloon Cars) Paul Stokell (Mini Challenge) Brett Holdsworth (Commodore Cup) Benjamin Porter (Formula Vee) Adam Gowans (Aussie Racing Cars) Sam Zavaglia (Superkarts) Steven Tamasi (125cc Superkarts) Stephen Morcombe (Supersports Challenge) David Barram (Sports 1300 Challenge) James Atkinson (Improved Production Car Nationals) |

I think I've missed a few of the Prod Sports races.
