Steering wheel help?
Hello,
Running a 70`s saloon with an old raid turbo steering wheel, Looking to improve driving position and have better grip so have been looking at deep dish momo and sparco wheels. Can anyone tell me if the 6 allen key steering wheel holes are standard? The raid turbo wheel has 3 holes under and over the same looking as the sparco/momo ones I have been looking at, Are they all standard or do I need to find something that will fit a raid Boss ?? Best regards daj |

Very much doubt they are standard as some have 3, some have 6 & some aren't pre-drilled at all. You can also get adaptors, mounting kits & spacers (some with 12 holes, 2 pairs of 6 at different PCDs) from SPA, OMP, Momo & Sparco. Suggest you browse the catalogues & ring Demon Tweeks with your measurements.

A word of caution: If you don't have power steering, converting to a smaller steering wheel will require proportionately more mussel.

That's true in general norm-norm, but not alway. I changed my 15" wooden wheel to a 13" sparco flat top wheel. Made maneuvering in the paddock really hard work, but on the track there was no noticable difference. Guess it depends how much steering you do with your right foot and how much with the wheel :-)

There are 2 "more common" bolt patterns, but there are lots of unique ones as well!
Just measure the PCD. |
