Pirtek_Falcon-1 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
All I know is that it is largely a stock car with a few mods to help it drift, FPV expecting to get 400kw and Frosty is driving.

I read somewhere that it is a slighty modifyed Typhoon turbo 6 with up to 400kw on tap.

Waste of a good motor car in my opinion.

Maybe they could get one of the former WPS drivers or even better Rodney Forbes, they'd all be pretty used to sliding around on race tracks across the country in the wrong direction

My own XR6 is 'slightly' modified.

Hydraulic handbrake, stripped out interior with racing seats and a roll cage, handmade manifold, alterations to the intake which move it to the opposite side of the engine bay, among others things, seem more than 'slight' modifications to me.

Is this a indication of FPR's new direction - sideways

In all seriousness this is good for Holden v Ford in motorsport !! Now for the release of their new Doorslammer (Drag Car coming from the Brett Stevens Stable) will it be better than the Monaro - no !!

They should get Skaifey to drive, Skaife gets sideways and backwards in a Supercar, imagine what he can do with a drift car!

Yeah, ONLY 400kw and 700nm. Supposedly with ONLY the new intake and intercooler, and ONLY half the powerband tuned....

Who knows, the same basic motor in an XR6T has reached 600kw in some cars, and Nizpro pushed one to 900kw on a dyno. Nobody's found a definitive limit

What has Robinson Racing Developments got to do with this car? Is it the Typhoon they campaigned in the GT Performance class?

At a guess they could have done the cage. Not necessarily the same car, I dare say FPV could find another one to use without looking too far (ex-prototype for example)

Only 400kW is a fair comment, you could get that without changing the intercooler, manifold, airbox etc

The XR6T's intercooler limits the engine from getting over 300kw, the F6's is only 50% bigger....
