Felipe Massa confirmed at Sauber
Hi,
I've read on Ceefax and saw on different websites that Massa has signed a two year contract with Sauber. So, what everybody already expected is now a fact. |

potentially a strong line -up for Sauber with Fisi & Massa. Lets's hope they get a good car to go racing in.

Massa hopefully would have watched the master at work during his time at Ferrari and learnt something.

Some Ferrari bit's plus engines, new wind tunnel, fiesty driver line up - could be interesting for Sauber.
Raises an interesting point, (which might be worthy of another thread some time - ahem..), which is the rationale behind driver selection. Per-season, we debated the Sauber line up and some pointed out (quite rightly - me included !!!!) that the Heidfield/HHF combo effectively cancelled each other out and an invisible season ensued. Seeing both of them given the brown envelope, it looks like we were right. Sauber didn't feel that either lifted the team sufficiently or warranted further opportunity. I think we also wondered why Sauber didn't go for the Friday testing this season, recently Peter Sauber said that opting out of that was a mistake..... All propsective team managers can be contacted throught ten-tenths !!!!........ Last edited by Super Tourer; 28 Oct 2003 at 18:23. |

2004 will be make-it-or-break-it year for him. If he does well against Fisichella, I guess he will be someone to watch in the future. As a young gun in 2002 he did really well. He crashed, made mistakes (who wouldn't at that age?) but was quite close and sometimes quicker than the far more experienced Heidfeld. |

Well if Massa doesn't do good against Fissi that speak's volumes for Firman.
Massa & Fissi together I wonder who the luckly smash repairer is Last edited by Mark Webber; 29 Oct 2003 at 05:58. |

Let's see you ditch a guy because he's not performing and then you hire him back on later?
Why would NH/HHF cancel each other out? |

Massa undoubtedly needed to mature: i agree with Sauber that he's no more the same boy of 2002.
After all, one year in the best team must have taught him much. |

jeez and all this time, i thought Sauber was ****ed because Massa told him to sod off when he asked massa to let heidfeld through. a couple of years back.
massa and fisi as team-mates is good very very good karma. no offence meant people, but the repair bills jokes are really so booooring. |

Funny though, Massa who is joked at for crashing cars, and Sato, also joked at for the same reason, will both return next year. Who crashsed more often in 2002, Massa or Sato?

Massa spoke to TV today, he said he will still be testing for Ferrari in his spare time and before the season starts.
