750MC Brands assembly
Hello everyone! I'm very new to marshalling and after lurking on the forums for about a month I decided it was about time I introduced myself
I'm trying assembly for the first time ever in a couple of weeks, and wondered if anyone had any advice. For example, am I expected to bring cake? |

Bribing the Chief Marshal with cake is always a very good start.

Seriously Becca, welcome to Ten-Tenths. Jamie Shilling, a frequent visitor to this forum, was in the same position as you last year and I am sure he will give you plenty of advice from the beginners viewpoint. Enjoy and hope to meet you at Brands Hatch. |

I'm getting the impression that cake is a definite yes...
Don't worry Mick, I'll be back. You don't get rid of me that easily |

Welcome to 10ths Becca. Entering my 8th season of marshalling and having been Chief Assembly for the BRSCC Midlands Centre for the past 4/5 years - I still consider myself a novice! Anyway, I have created an assembly area briefing sheet that some people have found helpful; if you want, I can email a copy over to you when I get home? This might just give you an idea of what to expect. But all I can say is listen to whoever is in charge. Assembly is a doddle, if it's done the right way - so nothing to worry about. Enjoy!

Welcome Becca.
I'm sure you'll have great fun in assembly and, hopefully, there will be 80 Stock Hatch cars to sort out. Nobody in assembly will need cake, but all the flag marshals will, with all the yellow flag waving we'll have to do. |

Luke: having pretended to do Assembly myself over recent years, I would be interested in your briefing sheet. Can you PM it to me?

Shelagh, can you PM me an email address for you? I can't seem to send the notes by PM on here.
This goes for anyone else who wants them. |
