The Years First "Silly Season" Thread!
ok, with one race out of the way, the season ahead is blindingly obvious and we all know who's going to be going where and as "silly season" seems to get earlier each year i thought now would be a good time to start a thread about it ... ok, no one knows whats going to happen, but it will be fun to guess, here's my predictions for F1 seats in 2004...
Ferrari.....M.Schumacher R.Barrichello Williams....J.P.Montoya A.Pizzonia McLaren.....K.Raikkonen G.Fisichella Sauber......Heinz Harold Frentzen R.Schumacher Renault.....J.Trulli F.Alonso Jordan......N.Heidfeld R.Firmin Jaguar......M.Webber D.Coulthard BAR.........J.Button T.Sato Toyota......O.Panis A.Davidson Minardi.....anyones guess!! |

Everyone in the paddocks know that JV is a prima donna and a **** poor team player. Who would want him?

I've reached that same conclusion, but without any actually evidence. Consider, though, BAR's got Bunsen, Davidson and Sato not demanding Jacques' salary, Craig Pollack has a new CART team with a _miserable_ excuse for a driver in Patrick LeMarie... Just makes sense.

Armco, you forgot Phoenix!
I like Mr. V's list, but I think Panis may retire after this season, and put Heidfeld there in his place. |

I think Da Mattta will still be at Toyota too, he has a two year contract and I'd be surprised to see him mess up again like he did in Australia.
As for Villeneuve, I think he'll either be with BAR, one of the top teams, racing in Cart, or retired. I'll guess the later. |

Do we think Schuey will throw the toys out of the pram if he doesnt win this season and retire??
Minardi will still be around in 2004, might be called Volkswager or something.... Jacques might get a drive there you reckon? From the penthouse with Williams, to the semi-detached federation style at BAR, to the outhouse at Minardi, all in the space of 8 years... WOOHOO!!! |

Let's not forget F1 Racing mag's speculation that BMW will jump ship to B.A.R. and Honda will re-unite with Williams...
