Nathan Caratti on pole for Race 2. Times here. I was wrong about the track conditions for the first qualifyng session, by the way. They were okay and in fact this second session was slower due to the rubber laid down by the A1GP cars. I guess Kumho and Cooper (aka Avon) don't mix too well.

Im suprised by how well Chris Reindler went. He hasn't had much time at all in the f3 car, so had to get to speed as fast as he could and he managed to pull off pole for race 1! Maybe he can follow his brothers footsteps or do better...?
Cant wait for the 2 races tomorrow! will it be shown on live stream or live timing anywhere? |

Race 1 has been run, results here. It looks to have been a good battle with less than 3 seconds covering the top four of Carratti, Winslow, Tander and Bamber. McFadden in 4th was ten seconds down the road, but still took fastest lap.

Being on the undercard of the A1, will the race be televised on the usual Speedweek/Inside Speed programs or was it not covered at all ?
If it was recorded, when can we expect it to air ? |

Ben Clucas is returning for Adelaide next weekend.
This provides an important benchmark as to the category's progression. It's important that the locals take the fight up to him. If he's allowed to dominate like he did in 2006 then I fear it will make the category and its driving stocks look a little B-grade. |

I was an idiot and looked in the Aussie section for this....
Some great racing so far this weekend out on track. Race 1 had some great overtaking and some exciting racing. The Front runners had a great scrap though out the race with McFadyen and Clucas. Bamber had a late charge before taking off in his car and was able to recover and hold down third place Pretty straight forward race for Tander, I was expecting her up a litle bit higher after last years performance Samantha Reid had a bad start and was able to make her way back up through the field to just out side the top 10 until the last corner on the last lap when she looped it around and came in near last (can't tell my bias towards the local talent). Should be a GREAT year if this weekend has been anything to go from. A great pool of talent has come to the series with quite a few competitive drivers starting to show some speed. Richard do you know if anyone got some photos of the Bamber plane impression? i don't know what was more impressive the amount of air or that he was able to recover and not loose the spots to the cars around him |

What a great championship we have this year.......... all I can say is thank god for Opes Prime, because otherwise the series would have been rooted. |
