Heh... That's two weeks in a row the #57 CLR Ford didn't qualify. I wonder if it's Hornaday's turn to get bounced now? Last week it was Cope, and I'll bet he's saying "See? I told you it was the car!"

Some interesting data
Tim, I have to agree that the 57 isn't up to speed.
I looked at Saturday's practice speeds (AM & PM), I was SHOCKED at what I found, here it is : Top 10 Fastest Cars @ Atlanta (184+mph) Rank-(Car#)-Driver-CarMake-Speed 1. (12) Ryan Newman, Ford, (185.437) 2. (20) Tony Stewart, Pontiac, (184.979) 3. (24) Jeff Gordon, Chevrolet, (184.917) 4. (18) Bobby Labonte, Pontiac, (184.855) 5. (2) Rusty Wallace, Ford, (184.468) 6. (29) Kevin Harvick, Chevrolet, (184.204) 7. (25) Jerry Nadeau, Chevrolet, 184.125 - PM 8. (77) Dave Blaney, Ford, (184.100) 9. (8) Dale Earnhardt Jr., Chevrolet, 184.088 - PM 10.(40) Sterling Marlin, Dodge, 184.027 - PM (Saturday’s AM Practice) Ryan Newman is FAST !!! Rusty has to be "stewing" big-time by now. |

I'd say Rusty ain't the only one "stewing" right about now, considering he's the 5th fastest out of the field.
