Martino Finotto
News reaches me of the passing of Martino Finotto, who was a very successful Touring and Sportscar driver in the 70's and 80's. RIP Martino

He won the european tourism championship in 1979 with a BMW 3.0 CSL and with his mate Carlo Facetti.
He was also a good endurance driver ; he raced six times at Le Mans between 1974 and 1985 he won the Group 5 category at Le Mans 1980. |

My knowledge of Martino has always centred around his driving of various Zakspeed Escorts. It's hard to forget the lurid pink and yellow Jolly Club entered car he used in the 1974 Giro d'Italia, winning the 2litre Gp2 class.
