Hi, Tigger. It'll be good to see you at Oulton. I think the Gold Cup is run by HSCC.

You can contact them at:

www.hscc.org.uk

HSCC, Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone, Northants, NN128TN
Tel: 00 44 1327 858400 Fax: 00 44 1327 858500

Will you be at Phoenix Park?

Hi Paul,
Yes ive heard so much about the Gold Cup but never got around to it. unfortunately at the moment i can only offer to marshal the one day being Monday.
I was at a club meet a couple of years ago with another Tenther
Chris Wolverston (woolley).
I had a fab time and swore i would get back again to meet up.
Im staying in Nuneaton so dont have to travel to far,

Do i need a ticket to get in or turn up??

P.S. i hope to do Sunday of the PARK, its a crackin event.

Hopefully meet up soon

Yes, you will need a ticket. Things in UK are a bit different to Ireland! BRSCC and BARC normally send them about a week or so before the event. I can't remember when HSCC normally send them out.

Hi Tigger
If you've volunteered for BTCC through the BMMC then it usually goes through Silverstone Marshal Team (was BRDC Marshal Club). Your contact there is Penny Norris- penny.norris@silverstone.co.uk

Check with her first and if she hasn't got you down then it may have been done through BARC and you need to contact Becci - rharvey@barc.net Just make sure you don't end up volunteering twice!!

Tickets are usually sent to you about a week before the event. In theory you need this to get into Silverstone but I never had mine checked (I'm a member of the Siverstone club now so have a car pass) and I did go to some biggish meetings, including BTCC last year. If you're wearing overalls security will probably just wave you through.

Hope this helps

Steve

Not doing the Gold Cup, else I'd have happily made the same arrangements as last time. They're a good lot up there, glad you're making a return trip. Everything I've heard about the GC says it's a great meeting, just that those who know me know that on the whole old cars ain't my thing!

Hi Chris

Thanks for that, if i have the same crack as i did the last time i will be ok. When ones age gets to around the same as the cars racing then you gotta do it, and anyway its a good warm up for Goodwood Revival.

P.S. hope your well and the new car is going ok.

B.T.W. you know your welcome to play here at Kirky anytime you wanna come over, there is a marshals Caravan there now and my spare room is only 30 miles away.

Keep er handy mate.
