well...Minassian has pole and Burt is second. White is back in 9th place and Jason Plato is in 12th. Big surprice of the day...Matt Neal who ended up 6th but was in 2nd place at the highest. Watch out for Rehfeld (96). Promises to be some great racing tommorrow

Darn!! missed a chance to meet up with you Hakkiman.
There was some excellent racing today wasnt there!! I thoroughly enjoyed it... oh and the American car cavalcade that stretched around the length of the circuit!!! Congratulations to Minassion for a well deserved championship win and a big congrats to Plato for an entertaining way of crossing the finishing line (i.e. backwards) and for winning the most popular driver award.. well done fella's!!! It was a great day two good races although stressfull at times!! Jason certainly kept everyone entertained by making up 11 places to lead the race only to slip back and then finish the first race backwards. Kept out of trouble in the 2nd though. Congrats to Nicholas he deserved to win the championship, and a big well done to Matt, not bad for a first time out. Hope we see all the top 3 drivers back in 2003 it can only get better.

A good base for ASCAR to start with next year. I think 2003 will be the best year yet, they got the drivers, the teams and the fan base...now all they need to do is build on that. With races in Holland and France...it promises to be a great year next year.
Jason Plato spun right in front of my eyes...i was looking at Roland Rehfeld when he went around the track and i noticed that a whole lot of smoke appeared in front of me. 4 cars were involved as far as i can tell, Plato was lucky not to get hit by anyone. Hodgeson also went backwards. And man...that Classic Car show was huge...they just kept coming onto the track Last edited by Larsen; 6 Oct 2002 at 21:24. |

I wonder why the letters on the left side of John Steward's car had been re-arranged!

I believe Burt and Plato are getting itchy feet. I think its great that ASCAR affords these drivers the chance to move to better things but I would also like to see them commit to a little longer in ASCAR, say 2 years. Its not doing the sport much good if they just use it as a springboard for one season and we never see them again. |

Mickel wasn't that good this season. Burt and Plato are looking at staying in the series for 2003, as is Minassian.
