New Bentley (Tub)
Is the new Bentley the same monocoque design as last year. or a new one, and if so, is it to the LMP footbox size, and once agin if so, how is it legal?

Put simply, it has to be last years tub. That footbox is definitely narrow width (500mm as opposed to 660mm)
There is no way it can be legal any other way. If they changed the tub in any major way, it would be classed as a new chassis and would come under the new footbox rules. |

Pirenzo is spot on. Bentley is using their '01 tub having carried it through to take advantage of the footbox dimensions in place when the car was designed.

The bit of the tub with the drivers feet in.
Generally it's the front face of the tub when we talk about dimensions (i think). In the Lola B2K page on Mulsannescorner there is a nice pic showing the footbox highlighted, that'll show you what i mean. Then head to the Bentley page for comparison |

Obviously new doors, and maybe front crush structure. I should ahve payed a wee more attention when they where changing the diffuser etc. |
