Cool bananas! Ive not been in the office all afternoon so haven't seen the announcement. I knew it was on the cards but wasn't aware it was official. All we need now is GP Masters and my year will be complete!

Now that's one meeting I would consider the trip to Brands for. Hope it's not just 6 Mercedes though.

Just to be safe: the official DTM calendar should be revealed Januari 15.
At the moment there is still the possibility that everything changes because of the football in Germany. They want to stay clear of those televised events. All main calendars in Germany are sort of on hold at the moment. |

I was really hoping they'd return to Donington. Brands is such a mission to get to |

I would have had to have made a weekend of Donington - but I'll have to spend the best part of the week for Brands!

and it's on the other side of country! I don't fancy spending 6 hours on the road to get to it, or get back. |

its not that bad, i've done it. I even left the A1GP on teh sunday night and drive the 6hrs home. You DO need to stop if you feel tired tho, its not fun driving when you can feel yourself dropping off.
*EDIT* i've just looked at viamichelin.com, and they reckon its only 3.5hrs from bridgend to brands |

Yeah 3.5 hours, then add on stops , traffic situations etc.
It said it would take 2.5 hours to get to silverstone - it ended up taking 5. |

Stops...why do you need to stop in a 3.5 hour drive?! Leave at late morning...early afternoon...theres no traffic!
5 hours to get to silverstone...which route did you take...via timbuctoo?! (sp?) |

Yes likewise...although I missed a turning on my last journey i did with them...and ended up doing three sides of a square, rather than just the one!! But that was my fault rather than theirs!

It'll be a shed tugging week-end for me, but they're worth it. Should be awesome around Brands. Just so long as I've got enough days holiday to take a couple out for motorsports, this will be the priority, followed by Ireland.

My folks-in-law have a bloody motor home but insist I'm not insured to drive it - although MY insurance company say I AM - with their permission.
Just don't think they like me!! |
