LM96 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
We are looking for photos of FIA GT and LMS

We started a month ago with our new project SportsCar-Info.de (www.sportscar-info.de). A German internet magazine about sports car races around the world. Now we plan to create special grid and result graphic for each race of the Le Mans Series and the FIA GT Championship. Therefore we need a photo from a special perspective of every car.

On this account we look for one or two photographers, who will be at the test days of the Le Mans Series or the FIA GT Championship and can take photos for us. So that we have the photos early enough, because nobody of us will be at the tests.

At the end of the day the graphic should look like the attached pictures:

www.ris-timing.be). So we need photos from the side of the car.

Is there anybody, who can help us? So, if you are interested contact me via email: webmaster@sportscar-info.de

Dates of the test days:
LMS: on March 2nd and 3rd in Paul Ricard
FIA GT: on March 13rd and 14th in Monza

If this Topic is against any forum rules, my apologies to the mods. I couldn't find a rule against it so I'm posting this thread.

Supplementation: Our project is honorary, therefore we can't give you any budget. But of course we designate the originator.

Maybe each team's press officer can give you a good photo?

This very cumbersome. Do you think that the serie's press officer would give me such photos?

I think the press officer of each series would be a good starting point. You can't really expect someone to be at each event AND to do it for free.

Two questions spring to mind here.

Do you appreciate the size of the task that you are asking? To get every car at the same angle pretty much ties up a photographer for the test........there are always cars that do only a few laps.....believe me I have done this as the official photographer for several championships it is not easy.....and there will be around 40-50 cars at Ricard, perhaps 25 at Monza.........and you expect someone to do this for free. How are their costs (and profit) to be covered?

The other more obvious question is what is the purpose of the site? If you are not paying for photography and presumably not writers either then you will be largely relying on PR handouts and copyright free material. There are plenty of websites already covering that part of the market, some better than others, there are even a few that generate their own material.

So why?

Tell me about it! Always my favourite part of the pre-season... it's not exactly the work of a moment is it?
