In an ideal world, Ferrari would supply engines to Minardi, with Luca as part of the packae. The (possibly Sergio Rinland designed) chassis will be great too, and Luca will race to the world championship, in a close race with teammate Olivier Panis

You know I reckon he'll join Ferrari. I think Ferrari's line up will change like this:
2001: Schumacher/Barrichello 2002: Schumacher/Badoer 2003: Badoer/Montoya Possibilty? Or am I dreaming? |

I going to have to add a bucket load of smilies to the end of this so this does'nt get taken the wrong way, BUT, where does this Badoer is god stuff come from? I can understand if it is a nationalality thing, I like Mark Webber because he's an Aussie. But if I was yelling "Mark Webber is god", people would think I was nuts. What has this guy done. Driven a Minardi, tested a Ferrari. So what?
If I have missed some marverlous acheivment (very possible btw), please accept my appoligies. Its the same with 'Jos the boss', I don't get it (at least his fans seem to be dutch which I can understand). Luca has been passed over by Ferrari before, he will be passed over again. He is currently the as close as he will ever get to driving for Ferrari. This is not a bait or flame post, so please don't abuse me. As I said, I may have missed something, so can someone please explain this Luca-is-God thing. |

Wrex,
You're a prat. Webber is going to do well in F1 in the future, but Luca's future will be decided this year - Not in a matter of a couple of years like master Webber. Luca has never been given a decent car in F1: 1993 Lola-Ferrari; 1995 Minardi Ford; 1996 Forti-Ford; and 1999 Minardi-Ford. I know he'll do well WHEN FERRARI give him a car to race Grand Prix in. Luca has shown in the past that he can win championships if he's given a half decent machine (NOTE: 1992 F3000 Championship with Team Crypton). Luca hasn't even been given a midfield car to race in F1 and sooner or later, if he doesn't get to race for Ferrari, he'll get a drive at a team like Sauber or Jordan and become a regular points scorer. GO LUCA!!! Visit my website: http://www.maxpages.com/lucabadoer if you wish to learn more about the Ferrari tester. Ps; what do you guys make of Valentino Rossi having a test with Jordan this season??? |

Let's face it on results alone. Compared to Ralfie the Useless. Fissysmella the Waste of Space and TGW. Luca is looking good in the driving seat of the taxi!

Even driving a taxi Luka the slower will still be up near the back of the rank.

And how well would all you do in a Lola, Minardi and a Forti, may I ask? Luca has never had the right opportunities; his testing times are up with TGWs all the time.
Let's look at his bad luck: 1993 San Marino: 5th until late pitstop 1995 Adelaide: Lamy scored 1 pt, Luca ahead on grid but electrics failure 1996 Argentina: 12th until taken off by Diniz 1996 Monaco: Taken out by JV, would have been 5th 1999 Australia: 5th before gearbox failure 1999 Austria: Ahead of Diniz and lapped quicker, but hit by Hill and lost 2 Laps. Diniz finished 6th 1999 Nurburgring: Do I need to say it? Plus, 1st year F3000 champ in 1992 |

Luca IS god, and anyone who disagrees is WRONG. So there. You don't just think that the richest team in the F1 paddock would get any old test driver, now would you??

It's time for Luca to leave Ferrari and get a race drive for a midfield team where he can score a few pts to put that terrible pointless record behind him.

Badoer needs to move I reckon but if needs be he should be tempted by a move to Minardi, Prost or Arrows for the sake of his career.

Luca could always go to the States and partake of the ChampCars. But then they are getting more discerning now - Herbert didn't get a ride and his record compared to Luca's is like comparing Fangios' to mine!

Luca has never driven a great car, but then again, he hasn't exactly shone in bad machinery in the way that Fisichella, Trulli and Alonso did/are doing. A comparison with his teammates would be quite revealing re: his abilities.....
I don't think, therefore, that he'll ever get a top drive. Maybe the best he can hope for is a seat at Sauber, but IMO he's doomed to his role as a tester for Ferrari. Still, he gets a nice paycheque so I doubt he's too massively bothered. |
