1972 2002tii ?
Hello everyone,
I am new so be nice !! I have the chance of purchasing a 1972 2002tii which was nicely prepared for a historic saloon championship around 4 years ago which ran standard engines ( Thats what I was told? ) . Can anyone recomend a series that this car would drop into nicely now? I really want to do as much research into what the car is eligible for and could be with alterations before I commit myself. Many thanks Daj |

Welcome daj. I'd say you have come to the right place as there are several historic saloon racers on this forum who will be able to offer advice.

It might help to know what country you are based in ? If you are in New Zealand I suppose there is no point proposing you something in the UK or France! |

Try Post Historics with the CTCRC. www.csccgb.co.uk
Using those regs you can run in the 70s Salons with Top Hat too. |

On reflection if the tii wasn't homologated as a Group 1 car you'd have to run as a class of Classic Thunder with the CTCRC and as a Group 2 car in Groovy Baby. So if the "group" regs don't apply the HSCC Road Saloons would probably be a good starting point.

Thanks for the help chaps, I have spoken to Mr Top hat who has advised that if the car meets group 1 regulations it will be fine to run in the groovy baby series. If I am honest I have been trying to look on the FIA website trying to make head or tail of it all !?!?! . Good god ?!!?
