Motorsport Streaming thread???????
Where did it go, why was it pulled, what did I miss????
I was genuinely interested in seeing what explanation the guy could offer, especially like another member who was interested in hearing his "explanation" about how he overcomes the copyright issues.......? |

Can this thread be revived as I did reply, and it appears that as soon as I replied this evening it was pulled from the fourum.
Am I allowed to repost a follow up to people's questions, as I cannot see what is wrong with the original thread? |

OK, but this time, maybe keep all references to your "product" out of the thread- there's organisations here that pay for advertising, and that's how the site survives......just a bit of common decency required (or take out an advertising subscription with the administrators). Keep it to a general topic, no blatant links to your websites, and hopefully the moderators will allow it to continue?
I'm interested in how you can get around royalty & copyright issues......especially when other broadcast outlets pay serious money for rights to transmit commentary ???? I work in the broadcast industry, specialising in motorsport, along with a few other names on here, just so you have some background info. |

The original thread is not going to be revived. It was advertising which goes against 10/10ths rules/policy. It was also (at the very least) on the fringes of illegality (IMO). If you want to debate the general issue here, so be it, but I will remove any direct advertising references immediately.

Hi.
I'm glad the post has been allowed back on. Here is the legal aspect of it as I understand: The streams are provided directly from Asian television networks themselves, we would simply be telling you where the streams can be found. It is the equivilent of the BBC providing a stream on their website of BBC1 and me telling you the link to access it, obviously this wouldn't happen as it would raise the issue of TV licenses, etc... but in Asia this is legal. For those of you worried about receiving Chinese/Japanese commentary we will provide you with details of where to find commentary in your appropiate language. For those of you interested in the possible site, please post your support. Hope this clears up matters, Daniel |

Now , i cant see what is wrong with that ...
In a way , it is no different from me watching F1 Qualifying on the German Satellite tv Channel RTL when ITV arent showing it live.. I have to say , that i think the principle of this idea is very good indeed . Its not encouraging anything bad...If the motorsport coverage is already available online ...then it sounds like the site would just point you in the right direction . what does everyone think ?... Can't you find the same information on Google with just a little bit of effort? Suppose it depends on the charge.

Hi,
The charge would be £2 a year, this would simply go towards hosting fees, etc... Hopefully, we would be able to provide more than just streams, eg. news, fixtures, results, etc..., so that you get your money's worth. Could all those that would be interested personal message me so I can show my colleague that there is interest in the project, thanks. Kind regards, Daniel |
