Welcome back Martini...
at least the Ferrari will still be red....but what shade? Brabham was a deep blood red when running with Martini sponsorship....does this herald (not Triumph) a return to a more traditional shade of Ferrari red? Cheers Peter |

I'm not sure about the color of the ferrari. wasn't the entire livery on the car property of Philip Morris (Marlboro) who then rented out the advertising space to potential sponsors?
If so, color would still be Marlboro-red |

The blood red on the Martini Brabhams was because of the ALFA Romeo flat 12's in the back. When the Martini Braham had Cossies, they were the traditional Ecclestone post-Brabham/Tauranac white. Also the ALFA red is deeper than the traditional Ferrari scarlet. I'll be happy as long as they lose the Da-glo red.

Martini is my most favourite drink - is this an omen? favourite drink, favourite team, favourite driver, favourite colour!!!
My 'dream team' is now complete - I am in heaven. (I admit it does not take much please me - I will be hard to live with this year). Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (Monster - what's Ferrari blue - is it a new cheese?) |

Ahhhh! I didn't know that as I am not a fan of footy. Glad you had a giggle. I thought Wigan was 'up north' somewhere - when did it move to Riyadh - have I missed something?? has Tony moved it?? Is Melbourne still in Aussiland (back to my hiberbation - yawn yawn). |

The old Martini livery is certainly one of my favourites and actually, I'd quite like to see Martini stripes on the Ferrari, including 'Martini blue' not the misquoted 'Ferrari blue' that you have attributed to poor old Monster. The subsequent 'cheese' joke was good, though!

The launch pics (various sites) seem to show that there will be no change to the basic livery for this year
I had been hoping for a darker red, but looks like it will continue to be the bright hue. The Martini logo is just a few stickers of the traditional Martini brand id. |

I wondered if Martini's low-key presence is a presage to something bigger when Vodafone leave at the end of the year.

Personally, I'd like to see a Ferrari run in the official factory colour.
Which is *not* red (look at the badge to see the official factory colour, and it's not the colour of the horse - just a tip) The most "sexy" colour any Ferrari has ever been seen in. Red, was (is) the official racing colour of Italy. Rob. |
