New internet auction site
Had an email earlier about a new motorsport only related auction site, a bit like pitbay I guess (google pitlaneauctions and you'll find it, don't think I can link to it directly on here).
Does anyone think it will work? It says listing is free and haven't looked too much at it, but from what's on there at the moment (bearing in mind it's apparently been up and running since 15th Jan so very new) not sure it will - I don't think it will have regular enough visitors when you've got ebay which is such an established site with the various dedicated motorsport sections as well. |

Just look at eBid. A competitor to eBay, and been going on for years, not that anyone would know, because hardly anyone uses it.

No, I hadn't heard of that one...
Pitbay I only know of because of the pitbay girls at various shows. |

just had a look, in my opinion, ebid sucks!
could be a good place however to get a bargain, as there are not half as many people on there. however i did a search for a schumacher 1:18 and it came back with 11 results, none of what i was looking for. |

No one wants to sell on it, as no-one bids there, and they'd end up giving away stuff cheaply, or paying out hundreds on listing fees.
Until the next big breakthrough in online auctions, eBay is always going to be the winner, because everyone knows it's there, and it works. |
