Positive camber on very old race cars
Why was it that the old, old cars used positive camber?? I hope that there's an expert in tech history here.

I'm no expert, but it could be because of the use of older suspension types such as swing arm (a la beetle or Hillman Imp) which don't provide good wheel control.
