Montoya takes Pole

Great stuff, storming lap by Monty, Pity about Rubens being so far down the order - why was this so?

Better TV feed as well with ACTUAL IN CAR SHOTS OF M SCHU! I never knew they existed!

Looking forward to the race on the morrow.

Indeed. I'd rather have Montoya on pole than either of the Schumachers. Good stuff from Jenson too.

It's not every day you get an onboard shot with M Schumacher. Two is rare if you're a terrestrial viewer. I wonder if ITV had to pay to get those shots.

Also the F1 logo in the bottom left corner annoyed me.

The qualifying coverage was better than the whole weekend in Maylasia. JPM pulled off an awesome lap time. more and more I actually feel that he could be in the title fight. Ok, its way too soon. Whats up with Jag? Renault did way better than I tought they would. And then there are the Honda powered teams. Why... why? The pain I cant take the pain.

Typical how James Allen commented that Irvine had had a good session though- covering for the UK drivers again. Being outqualified again by PDLR, whose thought of as a journeyman racer who lucked his way into the drive, as opposed to FoMoCo's highest paid employee as Swerve is, is not good enough. Being further up the grid is to the credit of Jaguar, not Swerve.

Sato I've already mentioned in the other thread, so I'll leave him alone here.

Rubens, again, bucked under pressure. Nothing new there, he's starting to look like a subdued underperforming figure again.

Now that Juan doesn't have to worry about Michael choping him at the start, I wonder how Michael is going to defend himself to stop his brother Ralf from flying from behind before the first turn.
It shall be VERY interesting . . . . .

A big well done to Mark Webber - up ahead of Bernoldi in P20

Just 2.226 secs off PP and 1.388 secs ahead of team-mate Yoong.

Any bets on whether or not JPM will return TGF's favour, and give him the chop at the start????

AlanJones, I actually like to see them both race... but in person Juan is a complete jerk (from seeing him in Toronto when he was in Cart...), and I haven't heard too many good things about Michael (but, I haven't seen him in person..so I can't really say either way...).

I suppose expecting them to be good people is a bit much though... I'll give it to Juan that he makes racing enjoyable to watch. Still...I hope he spins out .

Go DC! ...or Kimi!!

Yeah, but if he did chop Mikey at the start, most of us would probably be looking the other way, right????

I'd say Juan has a good chance - and deserves a win tomorrow. Since he won't have to lap Verstappen, he just might do it!

i hope he doesnt resort to chopping Micheal . He should try to remain above that.

move over on him yes , but keep the line , but not give him the complete chop !
