TomS should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Granja Viana 500 mile race

The karts in this run a strange looking bodywork..unlike anything ive seen before. Does anyone know firstly what the karts are and secondly why they run such a huge amount of bodywork as it looks like the karts are much bigger than say a 250 long circuit gearbox kart

Where is this race? Sounds interesting-more like the old F4.

The race is held in Brazil.

The karts as far as I know are entirely normal single speed karts but with bodywork.

I remember reading once that the bodywork:

is styled around the old can-am racers:

Highly believable, but very pointless, as it's 100% for the purpose of styling.

lol. If i was driving those karts i'd find it all too tempting to drive it like a Touring car rather than an open wheeler because of that bodywork. Reminds me of a time i took my mum on these stupid little 15mph twin seater 'fun karts' at a theme park, they had bodywork all the way round like a car, terrified her all the way round, was awsomme with the Touring Car style hit-n-run style though
