yeah they run stuff at Tilbury and just seems to be arrive and drive / testing, but I'm not sure who to contact. Depending how far away you are it might be worth popping down for a look, if you take the A1089 down to the roundabout with Asdas etc and take the first left into town you can see it on the left and access is via the residential streets.

I used to race gearbox karts at Tilbury back in the late '70s early '80s and I didn't even know it was still open. Good to hear that it is still going, I have a lot of fond memories from there.

what's the regeneration???!! The circuit is ok but very different to anywhere I'd been before eg runoff etc! As banger_racer says all the outbuildings are really run down but it did look fun.

They want to put houses and shops there had a booklet about it and you had to tick which option you wanted.

Thanks for the info banger racer, I'm going to get my son into junior TKM 4's this sumer and he needs seat time, a days testing at Tilbury should be better value than the intermittant 10 min sessions at Buckmore.

Its not been very busy lately so you should have the track to yourself.

I'm arranging a kart through my brother at the moment who has his son competing in the Super 1 series. Hopefully we should be up and running by the end of the summer, we can then get some practice in before the winter series start, moving onto F6 next year.

We are skipping cadets as my son is 13 this June.
