Legends Cars Championship 2003
Well, we have a new sponsor
Corgi will be supporting us this year, and this means we'll probably be back on TV shortly (which means I'd better get my hair cut). The Corgi Legends Cars Championship will take place over 14 rounds, 6 of which will be supporting the BTCC. The full calendar is here. You can read the press release here. If there are any racers out there wondering whether to take the plunge and move over the Legends I suggest you do so sooner rather than later. The sponsorship announcement has resulted in an increase in applications and the number of places is limited. Come on in, the water's lovely! |

Excellent news! Sky coverage again do you think? Can't wait to see them alongside the BTCC again. Good to see you guys with the BARC as well.
I nearly signed up for Legends a few years ago, when Gary Moloney was still selling his ARCO sponsored car. I bought a Mini instead because I couldn't find the right money, but I haven't ruled out joining in the future. |

It may be Sky, it may be somewhere else (can't say anything at this point). I don't think we'll be on the TV straight away, but all the rounds are being filmed.
Why don't you come along and do a round in a hire car? 36 seconds around the Mallory Oval - can't beat it! |

It's because we tear around in a pack, and every now and again one goes shooting off in the wrong direction for no apparent reason.

Do you guys still go 'backwards' around the Mallory oval, or am I thinking of the Eurocars here?
I'd love to do a hire drive, but ask me later on in the season if i've still got some money left I was at the Leg-ends festival last year at Knockhill, and that was a blast. I was there driving a Mini, but spent a lot of time spectating too. When is the festival this year at Anglesey? |

Well, we try and go the right way around the Oval! The Eurocar V6 and V8s used to do it backwards (in my opinion Eurocar at Mallory was one of the best day's racing you could get).
Anglesey is 2nd and 3rd August. Money at the end of the season? Yeah, right. I haven't got any money and it isn't the start of the season yet! |

That depends on how close the Legend is to where I'm standing

I think Lydden was on our provisional timetable but it disappeared. Pity - it is ideal for Legends. Brands is the same style of circuit - short, sharp and frantic, but still only one visit.

According to BARC, there is a 'Junior Legends' Championship that visits Lydden. Any idea what this anyone?

This isn't the official Legends response, but I believe it is a provisional slot for a Legends newcomer's / overflow race series.
