I can't see (unintentional pun!) it being much of a problem. Your field of vision may be reduced, but you'll quickly adapt. Distance perception shouldn't be too much of a problem - according to my optician, binocular vision is only used up to about five metres distance, beyond that the brain interprets distance from perspective.

This has been covered before, so if my useless skills are up to it you should be able to find more information here:

Thats a good idea mark.
as an observer myself i tend to miss things, but with 2 of us i,m sure we would have 2 good eyes to see things with........ Anyway been in hospital for my 2nd operation on the eye and now got some of my vision back. 3 more ops to go and then i can assess the final outcome on my full vision. |

Don't let it worry you- I've been living with one eye for the last fifteen years.
Its a bit odd to start with but it doesn't take long to get used to it . Best of luck. Don Truman |

Don't worry Nighthawk, since I had the Brain Tumour removed I have not had the use of my right eye, well it works, but not with the left. I intend to Marshal in 2006 and will give it 107% as usual.
