Sam Schmidt, the racer who was paralyzed two years ago while racing in the Northern Lights Indy Racing League will make his return to racing this year. He will return as an owner and field a car for the Indy 500 as a minimum with the entire season a goal. Schmidt is racing to bring awareness to the Sam Schmidt Foundation, a group devoted to help fund further research in paralysis.
Good for him. |

Great to hear that sam will be back ..it would be good to see him doing the driving but sadly that wont happen but at least he will be there where he belongs giving another driver the chance to live their dream of perhaps winning the indy 500..well done sam

Sam Schmidt has announced that he has joined forces with Treadway Racing, his former team, to field a car for Davey Hamilton.
I personally am glad to see Schmidt back in racing after his paralysis. It will be good for him and the IRL. |
