Race weekend and 2008 Race Rules

Most of this is spread in the various multi page threads so I've pulled it together.

Friday
Rookie Sessions .... 11.00-11.25 and 11.35-12.00
General Practice session ... 14.00-15.00

Saturday
General Practice Session ... 11.00-12.00
Qualifying ... 14.15-15.30

Qualifying:
4 x 15 minutes ... 1 flying lap.
Each countries fastest lap from Q1 & Q2 makes up Sprint Race Grid
Each countries fastest lap from Q3 & Q4 makes up Feature Race Grid

Sunday

Sprint race ... 11.00
Sprint race has a rolling start ansd will last a maximum of 29 minutes plus 1 lap.
Points : 1st=15, 2nd=12, 3rd=10, 4th=8, 5th=6, 6th =5, 7th=4, 8th=3, 9th=2 and 10th =1

Feature Race ... 15.00
Feature Race has a Standing start and will last a maximum of 69 minutes plus 1 lap.
There will be 2 pitstops to be completed within pitstop windows. First within Laps 8-16 with the second pit window only being announced when the pitlane opens for the grid to form (approx 14.30).
Points : 1st=15, 2nd=12, 3rd=10, 4th=8, 5th=6, 6th =5, 7th=4, 8th=3, 9th=2 and 10th =1


Bonus Point: Awarded to the team with the fastest lap during the sprint and Feature race.

I have not paid too much attention to the rule changes. Is qualifying the aggregate of the two laps or the best lap from the two?

The best fast lap from each pair of sessions go towards the grid for each race.

Nope Race 2 grid decided by the 3rd and 4th Qually sessions. A teams best time from the 2 seesions

The A1GP site isn't entirely clear the exact quote on which I based my original post is as follows

Using Q 3&4 for the Feature race grid should at least make the sprint race a bit more interesting than the processions we had last season with no-one wanting to jeopardise their starting position for the feature.

I think now, looking at the points (Mexico finished 4th if Sprint & Feature at Zandvoort, but got one extra point in the Feature after setting FL - despite having a slower FL than RSA's in the Sprint)...

It's a bonus point for each.

Until someone questions the rules...
