F1 Eligibility
What are the requirements to incident marshal F1 please?
I was told you should be a red badge with 15 races done that season? Seems harsh. |

If the falling numbers are anything to go by....
breathing and walking unaided will soon be the main requirements |

I think the minimum requirements are Green badge and 12 days

The requirement states that you must have 12 days from the previous year at the grade that you will be working at the GP.
So as Grandslammer Said, 12 days as Green badge. |

You could always go instead to one of the emerging nations where having heard of F1 is enough.

Or you could stay at home and watch paint dry.

Or 750 MC at Brands! It's where I'll be! (Assuming dates all stay the same...)

Re: Stig & Matt.
My true love is clubbie racing, even the odd hillclimb, but it was put to me that I should do F1 at least once if only for the experience. How enforced is the 12 race rule? Do you think? |

I'd agree, you should see them once at least. Contact Chris Hobson for clarification on whether you'd be accepted.

I agree that everyone should do one and see if they like it or not.
As an added problem, you've missed the application date as well! If you've done a fair number of days and are experienced it's worth trying to check with whoever is chief for your discipline to see what there thoughts are, ultimately it's the chief and the selection committee that make the decisions. |

Quite true.......if you want to be an Incident Marshal then you need a red badge! If you want to be a Course Marshal, then you need a Green Badge! |

I'm so chuffed - I put in for the GP in case there was nothing else on and I didn't want to waste a weekend - but hopefully with meetings at Lydden and Brands - if the dates do stay the same! - I will have the choice of marshalling a RACE meeting instead - fantastic! |

Saw a bit in one of the papers over the weekend that the date MAY change due to that weekend being an England qualifier match in the World Cup. If it does change I guess that will have major ripples for other dates. We wait to see!

Oh for goodness sake. Clubs are having enough trouble with dates as it is! Without them moving the GP again!!
