The Official 2009 Indy Lights Season Thread
With the opening round at St. Pete just around the corner, I figured we might as well start a season thread.
Here is the entry list for the opening weekend. |

I'm super excited about Indy Lights 2009.
The series honestly has the stoutest field of development drivers in the entire world except for perhaps GP2. Definitely a better field top to bottom than A1GP or Superleague. Also nice to see Genoa and Vision return to the series and welcome the new teams: PBIR, ELFF, Herta, and Hamilton |

Apparently Team E just didn't have the car ready to go down to St. Pete. I think they're still planning on being at Long Beach. |

Hildebrand just thrashed the field a truly dominating performance.
Stefan Wilson was having a great weekend until he ran into trouble. Very solid weekend for Ali Jackson too. |

Ali Jackson - remember him in Asian F3 in 2006. Where has he been the last 2 years?

Cunningham won what was a very exciting Freedom 100 race this afternoon...cars were racing two wide through Indy's Turns!!
Only 12 cars finished, though...quite a bit of carnage from a few wrecks...Beatriz may be hurt...took a long time to get her out of the car and they put her on the backboard... |

The Indy website is so rubbish I a) didn't realise the race was on and b) had to really struggle to find the full result.
Hope Ana is ok, she's one of my favourites. |

Pablo Donoso will drive for RLR/Andersen Racing this weekend... Jonathan Summerton who is 5th in points will miss Iowa due to lack of sponsorship $$$ - interesting that Summerton is also 2nd in Formula Atlantic points...
