2022 Repco Supercars Series - Races 1 & 2 - Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight
If the title of the thread sounds familiar, it should, because once again we are back at Sydney Motorsport Park for a night race on the Saturday, followed by an afternoon race on the Sunday.
Both races will be 250 kilometres, which is something a little different from last year. The races can be seen on free to air, pay TV and paid streaming, however with rain forecast for the weekend expect lots of shots of puddles and cars parked up in pitlane. |

More like the opening round of the Repco Inshore Powerboat Championship!
In race 1 Brock Feeney will give SVG a serious love tap at the end of the main straight, just to show the old bloke that the young bull is here to win! In race 2 SVG gives young Broc Feeney a lesson in master class of how to drive a Supercar. |

I suspect a Grove car will be on pole but the engineering group wont know why.

Sitting in rain soaked SE QLD wondering what chance the race will still happen? If Sydney gets the rain we & Nth NSW got, I highly doubt it.
What’s the forecast looking like? |

Originally had accommodation booked in Newcastle for this weekend and have cursed the organisers ever since it was canned.
The way the weather is on the coast at the moment it's a bit of a blessing as the whole weekend could have been a washout... |

Is Mr Cauchi in pit lane or at a gardening shop?

Meantime, it’s absolutely bucketing down hard at the Eastern Creek circuit, and has been most of the night..

Great opening race with SVG sprinting away in the dying laps, hopefully DJR can return the compliment in the second race with a strategy change. Some impressive track action right throughout the field.

Speedcafe, reporting heavy rain overnight has delayed today’s event.
Nearby Badgerys Creek has had 79mm of rain overnight. That should help with Mr Cauchi’s gardening projects. |

Toyota 86 paddock was flooded, and the schedule seems to have been tickled as the water drains away. Stopped raining here thankfully ARC, 86 & TCM seem to be coping in the rain ok... some nice spins.. and a couple of hits... Qually soon.. |

Quality skills on show from the top drivers (and a few not so!) in very awkward conditions!
Both rounds hugely enjoyable. Perhaps the title race will be much closer after all? |

Good weekend of racing, be great if every round in 2022 had a variety of winners.
Young Mr Feeney certainly impressed on his fulltime debut. |
