Red Bull product placement
The ITV viewers were earlier treated to a tour round Christian and Tonio's house.
Amusing to see that despite a desperately empty fridge they remembered to get a few cans of Red Bull in |

Well they probably get a discount...
I loved Christian Klien's comment on the (empty) dishwasher: "I think it's for...washing dishes...or something." |

They were pretty funny, I have to say. I'd trade those two in some comedy Chuckle Brothers segment over anything by James Allen any day.
They could at least have had the courtesy to make a joke about the fact that there were two RB cans sitting proudly right in the middle of the fridge, though. I don't think they even had milk. |

Red Bull gives you wings.
But it wont make you win the British GP. |

Yeah, I saw the blatant Red Bull placement, made me chuckle.

Something goes on between ITV and Red Bull. Not sure if the Brundle/DC deal has anything to do with it....but every week there is some sort of Red Bull thing going on.
This week it was a closer look at the RB1 and how it "fits into boxes". Alex |

Maybe Red Bull are the only team that make themselves available for these sort of things?

The motorhome a couple months ago, then the flat and the car in the explaination of why the cars look the same.
I thought he did a class job of explaining the rules. It is not harming anybody with their relationship, just getting fans closer and deeper into an F1 team, both parties benefit. |

It's a shame none of the other teams allow such access to their facilities and information - RBR have been a breath of fresh air in many ways, even if the product placement can be excessive. Then again, with tobacco advertising banned and alcohol advertising frowned on, I wonder how far off a blanket ban on caffiene advertising is?

I don't belive its an ITV thing only ... ORF in Austria has be showing a lot from them too, of course RBR is an Austrian stall so maby that has smothing to do with it.
Probably is't just the way they wanna publish themselfs... an open team and brings you wings |

Somehow, I can't imagine a similar NASCAR segment on Mark Martin at home and seeing Viagra strategically placed around the house.

It also appeared to be blatently advertised on BBC 2 Top Gear 10 days ago.
A product that is actually banned from sale in several European countries |

I always assumed it was maybe something to do with DC's contract and Brundle being his manager...you would think that all the teams would go for the extra free publicity...

i think you need to check the redbull website, as far as i am aware it has never been banned in any country just not passed thier tests to be allowed sale. So saying it has been banned is slightly misleading. I know that is just symantics but i am feeling like that tonight

I know that the Red Bull/Vodka mix has been banned in at least one place. Not sure about the actual drink itself, after all it is basically just a rather large cafeine dose.

You cannot stop it. What bainning places from selling it pre-mixed does is limit the impact. That is, if it is publicly baned from being sold pre-mixed, and the reasons for it made known. Well, it will make the majority of people refrain from mixing them.
Not everyone, for sure, but the strategy is about damage limitation. |

I do know that people aren't allowed to sell vodka red bull pre-mixed by decree of Red Bull itself - Mateschitz doesn't want to encourage those sorts of connotations with his brand. It's tough though, really.
