Great pole from Casey. He's been increasing in confidence and riding with more maturity as each race passes. They say his first podium is just around the corner - I say his first win is not too far away itself.

Whoops - he got stuffed by Jenkner on the last lap. Nightmare!

yeah, Stoner was 6th at the start of the last lap (just under a second behind Cecchinello who went on to win) - he probably wouldn't have won but for the Jenkner incident would have likely finished somewhere in the 5th-7th bracket.
Casey (unlike Jenkner) managed to remount and finished 18th; unfortunately out of the points. |

Casey eventually finished 18th while Jenkner was classified as not finishing as he failed to remount.
Shame for Stoner as he was looking good for another top 5 finish while that has certainly set back Jenkner's championship hopes. |

Twas a good run. By keeping with the frontrunners, he'll get some more confidence. Essentially, from about 2 laps out any of them could have won.

I'm with Asha, what a great race. Can't wait for Philip Island.
This year I've hooked up with 21 other idiots to ride down and get amongst it. Anyone else going? |

YES!
Or so I've been promised anyway. It all depends on whether I'm in the Army by then or not. |

Casey will win before the year is out. He's gaining plenty of experience riding up with the likes of Lucio, Pedrosa and Jenkner and will soon be able to use it to his own advantage.
